The Supreme Court hears a plea from Uddhav Thackeray's faction challenging Speaker Rahul Narwekar's decision naming Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena bloc as 'real political party' post-2022 split. Narwekar dismissed disqualification petitions against CM Shinde’s 16 MLAs. Abhishek Singhvi for UBT leader Sunil Prabhu cites unconstitutional acts. Bharat Gogawale became authorized whip post-June 21, 2022. The plea disputes the majority legislative will, impacting BJP and NCP (Ajit Pawar group).
