Villagers allege army ‘torture’ in Poonch ambush crackdown

Five villagers detained by the army after a terror ambush in J&K's Poonch last month, which resulted in the deaths of four soldiers, have reported severe torture during their detention. The disclosures were made during a police investigation into the deaths of three civilians in custody. The army authorities have not yet commented on the allegations.
