IndiGo's Airbus A320 (VT-IQA) operated the first commercial flight to Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya after PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the airport. Passengers, including Kamal Kumar, a garments dealer from Sikar, Rajasthan, were excited to be on this special flight to Ayodhya. They chanted Ram dhun and received a Shri Ram patka at the boarding gate. Captain Ashutosh Shekhar, the pilot, also received a patka from devotees. After a one-hour flight, passengers arrived at Ayodhya Airport to a warm welcome.
