UK PM Sunak hosts Jaishankar at Downing Street for Diwali tea

British PM Rishi Sunak and his wife hosted External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and his wife for Diwali tea at Downing Street. Jaishankar's visit aims to review bilateral ties and give new impetus to the friendly relationship between India and the UK. During his visit, Jaishankar will attend various events, including a Diwali Reception and a repatriation ceremony for ancient temple sculptures. The talks will also include preparations for Sunak's possible visit to India in the coming months. Both countries have been negotiating a free trade agreement since last year.
