'Ensure safety of women first, give guarantees later': Himanta Biswa Sarma's dig at Priyanka Gandhi

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma criticized Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi over the guarantees offered by the Congress in Rajasthan ahead of the November 25 polls. Sarma highlighted the need for ensuring the safety of women in Rajasthan before making guarantees. He also mentioned the internal conflicts within the Congress party in Rajasthan and criticized the state's high number of cases of atrocities against women. Himanta said that he has lost faith in the word 'guarantee' as Priyanka has repeatedly spoken of 'guarantees' in her poll campaign.
